Humans of RASG, similar to Humans of New York, is a verbal snapshot of the people who make up our high school. Each human is asked to speak about themselves at length, and their monologue is recorded and transcribed verbatim. In order to keep it real, nothing is left out.
Esther Nahon (12th Grade)
My name is Esther Nahon. I’ve been going to this school for forever, since I was in pre-K, and now I am a senior, which is pretty long. I have two other siblings that are in the school right now; my older brother graduated three years ago. I am really excited that senior year is almost over. It has been a long journey, but I have learned a lot about myself throughout the years and what I like to do. I really like reading and creative writing, so I started my own club which is pretty cool how it is really coming together. In my free time I like teaching myself songs on the piano, I like going on walks, going to the library and seeing what books I can check out. If I get really bored, and I am not in the mood to watch Netflix, I’ll maybe look up a new recipe I can try to make. I am trying to change up my diet and start eating more vegetarian and more vegan. It is a work in progress, but I’m trying to do that and see how I can work with food, which is really cool. I just really like creating, like with music, cooking, and writing; I like making things and trying to be as creative as I can. I really like being able to connect with people, and talk with people, make friends however I can, and be there for whoever may need. I am grateful for the friends I have, and the experiences I’ve been able to have throughout my whole life and school career. I am excited next year to hopefully go to Israel, meet more people, and be in a whole different environment, hopefully without Corona, but you know, day by day. So that was a little bit about me.
