Humans of RASG, similar to Humans of New York, is a verbal snapshot of the people who make up our high school. Each human is asked to speak about themselves at length, and their monologue is recorded and transcribed verbatim. In order to keep it real, nothing is left out.
Galya Hes (11th)
My name is Galya Hes and I’m 16. The reason why I came to Hebrew Academy is because I wanted to be back in a Jewish school. I left to public school for two years and I wasn’t enjoying it. I feel more in a community and more welcomed in a private Jewish school. I love hanging out with my friends. I love food! My favorite food is sushi. I love barbeque, like steak. I used to play basketball, and then I played volleyball. I’m really tall, I’m 5’9 and I take that as an advantage to play basketball and volleyball. I have a sister, she goes to Hebrew Academy too. I have a dog, he’s very cute. His name is Panda and he’s a Border Collie. My family is from Argentina. I want to go to Israel after I graduate. Then I would like to come back because my dream school is UM.
