Humans of RASG, similar to Humans of New York, is a verbal snapshot of the people who make up our high school. Each human is asked to speak about themselves at length, and their monologue is recorded and transcribed verbatim. In order to keep it real, nothing is left out.
Hello, my name is Racquel Houri. I was born here in Miami and my parents are from Israel and France. I like to play volleyball, soccer, and I like to swim. I went to public school, Sunny Isles, and before that I went to Hillel, and then I came here for high school. My parents wanted me to come so I can have a Jewish education. I really like it here. I like that it’s small and everyone is close like a family. It’s really nice. On the weekends I go to the beach, or the pool, or to the mall to hangout with friends. I just hangout at their houses or go out to eat. I have a pet fish. I like hip-hop music and pop but not really rap. I like the music that is out now. I haven’t been to any concerts recently, but I am planning on going to Rolling Loud and on that Sunday I’m going to be seeing Post Malone and all the rappers performing. I’m really excited.
