Humans of RASG, similar to Humans of New York, is a verbal snapshot of the people who make up our high school. Each human is asked to speak about themselves at length, and their monologue is recorded and transcribed verbatim. In order to keep it real, nothing is left out.
Daniella Froimzon (9th Grade)
"Hi my name is Daniella Froimzon and I’m 14 years old. I just moved to Hebrew Academy this year. I’m a Freshman, and I’m really happy to be here. I like painting, baking. I have an older sister, she’s a junior, but she’s currently at Krop back in Aventura. Before HA I went to Highland Oaks middle school. It's a public school so it’s a really dramatic shift because there it’s like a ton more diversity and here it is more kind of all the same. But it’s also good in that aspect because it’s smaller, so it is a more tight knit community, and of course you have all of the Jewish aspects, so they both really add on. It’s also a dramatic shift because in public school they were way less strict too- the uniforms were different, the students were different. It just looked different, but here is more of a community and there was just a school. I was born in Miami, but my parents are from Costa Rica and Venezuela so I have a bit of a Hispanic heritage to me. I know three languages: English, Spanish, and ASL, and I’m learning Hebrew. I’m excited to be learning Hebrew! I cook a lot, but I like baking more. I like making things from scratch and seeing how they taste. I love horror movies! I like Sinister, I like that series. I like the Halloween series. I love Halloween, it’s my favorite non-Jewish holiday. I love horror movies and all things scary. I also like painting a lot. I like doing the paint by the numbers, and I really like seeing how things turn out."
