This week, the Warriors returned from an eleven-day winter break vacation. Many students traveled to international countries, went on a cruise, went skiing, or even stayed in Florida.
Student Ava Sher (10th) explained, “I had a lot of fun on my vacation. I went on a cruise with my best friends Sara Musheyev [10th] and Rebecca Edelati [10th]. The cruise has many stops such as Coco Cay and Nassau.”
Many other students went on cruises, too, such as Melina Rosencovich (10th) and Mazal Popack (10th).
“We didn't initially plan to be on the same cruise, but I had so much fun traveling around with my friends. I got to travel to many new places such as St. Thomas,” commented Mazal.
Other Warriors traveled to international countries around the world.
A small group of senior boys spent time throughout Europe.
Avi Rosencovich (12th) shared, “It was really nice traveling to places like Venice, Paris, Barcelona, and Madrid with my close friends Ethan Oppen [12th] and Jonathan Ifrah [12th]. Seeing all the Jews in different places really felt like I was at home. and exploring the cities with my friends was a fun experience.”
Charlotte Kavana (9th) enjoyed her time in France. “I went to Paris for winter break with my family and it was very nice. Seeing the snow in Paris was very beautiful as well as visiting the Eiffel Tower.”
Some students even traveled across the globe all the way to Asia.
“I spent my winter break in Tokyo, Japan. We even got to see a real authentic Sumo wrestling competition. Being in such a different environment and seeing the difference in cultures felt surreal,” explained Jonah Schottenstein (10th).
On the other hand, some students fled from Miami’s heat to the cold.
A group of about fifteen Hebrew Academy students went to Vail, specifically. For instance, Sophia Shapiro (10th) shared, “I went to Vail, Colorado for break. I had so much fun skiing and being in the snow.”
Some students decided to spend their winter break at home or with family.
“I spent my time on winter break babysitting and hanging out with my friends and family here in Miami. I’m glad I stayed home, as I was able to spend time with my older sister, celebrating her twenty-first birthday,” said Adina Bachar (10th).
Whether it was traveling around the city, country, world, or spending time with family and friends, the Warriors had a fun and enjoyable winter break!
