Movie Review - The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was released on November 17th, 2023. The film is entirely based on the dystopian novel, also titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, and Francis Lawrence did an excellent job producing the film based on the novel. The story revolves around the backstory of the protagonist, Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth), and how he became the mentor of Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler) for the tenth annual Hunger Games. This movie takes place in the fictional city of Panem. As the prequel to the Hunger Games series, this shows the deathly events that were presented during Snow’s life, leading him to become the president of Panem. I think this movie was well-made and full of suspense. Overall, this movie had so many unexpected twists, which made it so interesting to watch.
